I have been happily married to my husband Mike for 21 years as of March 2008, and we have three wonderful daughters. Very rarely over those 21 years have I worked outside the home. Sadly, most families today can't afford to do that. We have always believed someone should be home with our daughters. I am very proud of my family and very proud that I have been able to stay home with them. I will not say "afford to stay at home" because to me my children are my best investment. If I cannot invest time in their future, who can? No amount of money will replace that.
We finally purchased a house, in October 2005, after living most of our marriage in rental homes, military housing and managed communities. It is wonderful to have our own piece of rock, so to speak. Our oldest daughter, Christine, has went back to her apartment to start her fourth year of college this fall. Our middle daughter, Cassandra, is about to start her second year college. Our youngest daughter, Mary, is now going to be a Junior at the High School. My daughters lead very active lives. Which has lead to my interest in creating webpages and reading many, many books.
We still feel it is important to have one parent at home. We still have one daughter at home.
I lost my mom last fall. I am pretty lost without her. I am still redefining who I am without her.
I am also owned by one dog, three cats, and I finally managed to get Cassandra to come home and get her gecko and I sold Mary's Turtle. Some days it really makes me wonder who is truly in charge here, me or the animals. I am still grieving the loss of my best friend Lady my dog/companion/friend of almost 10 yrs who passed in September 2005. She is greatly missed by me.
Please be sure to come back often as I will be continually updating my pages to bring you the most up to date information possible.
